The breathtaking views along the "Stairway to Heaven" walk were absolutely worth the effort. The kids were thrilled with the adventure and it was a fantastic bonding experience for us all. Plus, the Geopark also offered exciting Jeep Safaris which added a touch of excitement to our holiday. The staff at The Keepers Arms were incredibly helpful in providing us with all the necessary information and directions.
For dads, it would be great if there were more family-friendly activities available nearby.

The bar at The Keepers Arms is the perfect place to quench your thirst and grab a bite to eat after a hard day's walking, fishing or sightseeing. One of the largest lakes in the catchment area is Garadice Lake which at 950 acres is almost 630 soccer pitches. On the outskirts of Enniskillen, Co. Fermanagh stands Castle Coole, the family home of the Earls of Belmore and one of the treasures of the National Trust. Dining at The Keepers Arms is available in the spacious Dining Room full of morning sunlight where breakfast and dinner is served. The intriguing monastic site of Drumlane includes an abbey, a monastery and a remarkably intact round tower constructed in the year 555AD. The Museum has a private indoor collection of more than 7,000 antique, historical and novel items ranging from pre-Famine Ireland to the recent past. Blacklion Golf Club is a beautiful 9-hole parkland course established in 1962, with coppices of woodland and mature trees. One of the oldest monastic sites in Ireland believed to date back to the earliest period of Celtic monasticism. The original tree, discovered in about 1760 can still be seen on the fringe of Cottage Wood to the south-east of the house. Guests can discover their Cavan ancestry at this center, where its database holds more than half a million records of baptism, marriages, burials, and census.
The only downside was that it was too difficult to leave this amazing place and go back to my real life.
